Nursery News - 24/3/23

This week we have started our new topic of Spring. At circle time we looked at some Spring images and a powerpoint and discussed what we already know and what we want to find out.

We painted daffodils using the appropriate colours and made some 3D ones using egg cartons and lolly sticks.

We spoke about the changes in weather and the children enjoyed painting rainbows. Some already knew that we need rain and sunshine to see a rainbow in the sky.

The role play area this week has been a pizza restaurant. The children have enjoyed pretending to make pizzas and serve their friends. We then made our own individual pizzas using wraps and muffins, they were yummy!

We have also enjoyed the bits of sunshine this week and made the most of it outside. The children got their waterproofs on and explored the mud kitchen. We made mud soup and chocolate cake!

We also fed the birds whilst we were outside with the bits of bread we had spare. Next week we are going to make bird feeders and have some Easter inspired activities!
