This week we sent our sunflowers home and we have planted some cress seeds so we can watch how quick it grows.

We transferred the cocoons into the butterfly net, the children are eagerly waiting for them to wake up and be beautiful butterflies! We spoke about how we can care for the cocoons and the importance of not touching the net as they are still sleeping. This brought us onto the topic of being kind to one another and caring for our friends.

We have been doing number work on the carpet trying to get the numbers in the right order to make a caterpillar from 1-10. Some children have been trying very hard at writing their name and others have done some lovely drawings.

The children have also enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen this week making mud pies and soup.
