To end our topic of 'People who help us' we had Jackie pay us a visit from Lancashire constabulary. The children were very excited and had lots of questions for her, mainly about catching bad guys! Jackie passed around her baton and hat for us to have a look at. Mrs holiday was put in the handcuffs and leg restraints, for making the reception children do too much writing! Jackie brought some colouring sheets in for us and set a competition. Our pictures are now displayed in the window at Colne police station and she chose two winners.
The children enjoyed role playing hospitals in the home corner. This helped the children to see what working for the NHS would be like.
Last week we made our mummies some hand-crafted cards and flower pots, ready for Mother's Day. We hope you love these as much we did! We also celebrated St Patrick's Day by decorating shamrocks and we painted rainbows. It was also Comic Relief on Friday. For this we did some baking, we made raspberry buns and decorated digestive biscuits. We also had nonuniform day and we come to nursery dressed in something that makes you smile to raise money for the charity.
