Nursery Blog - 05/05/23 - King Charles Coronation
Date: 5th May 2023 @ 1:01pm
This week we have been busy preparing for the King's coronation. We have been learning all about King Charles and the Royal family.
We made red, white and blue paper chains to decorate nursery ready for our celebration on Friday. We also made union jack flags and bunting to hang.
In the craft area we made King Charles collages with blue pieces of paper. We also used cardboard tubes to make mini kings and the king's guards. Paper plates were painted gold to make the Kings carriage.
The children made crowns and we decorated biscuits with red, white and blue icing and sweeties.
Today we joined the full school outside on the playground to have a special coronation lunch. We had sandwiches, crisps and cakes and we also sang our national anthem "God save our King." It was a lovely way to end this special week even with the heaven's opening! (typical British weather for you!)
Your welcome to send any photographs on class Dojo of your coronation celebrations this weekend. We will look at them at circle time on Tuesday :)
Have a lovely Bank holiday weekend everyone! :)
