Harvest Food Donations

Wow! Thank you so much for all of your donations of food for the foodbank - we have been amazed by your generosity!

Following the assembly this morning Mrs Duerden and Mrs Peake took all of your donations to the foodbank, helped by some of the School Council. This year we donated the food to the SVP foodbank at Sacred Heart Church in Colne; they have helped many of our families over the years and it was lovely to be able to give something back.

The volunteers at the foodbank were astounded by how much food we donated and they were extremely grateful. They explained to the children how they help anyone in need and told them just how important our donations were to them.

All of the children spent time organising the food before putting it on the correct shelves. They were rewarded for their efforts with some juice and snacks - a lovely treat!

The foodbank is open every Thursday from 10am to 12.30pm - please speak to Mrs Duerden if you would like any more information about it.
