Autumn Antics.

Our return to the classroom after, half term, has seen us looking at Autumn activities & thinking about Halloween. We have had fun creating our own leaf people with all the autumn leaves we have found outside, creating leaf prints & rubbings. We have used pumpkins as part of our funky fingers set up & the children have had a chance to carve pumpkins. 

We were also very lucky this week to have a visit from a real life poet, Ash Dickinson. He lead an assembly & then spent sometime in each classroom to encourage us to use our imaginations to write our own poems. We came up with our own about our pet monster & when he had left we worked in pairs to draw what we thought he looked like form the description we had created together.
