All change in the forest!

Forest school looked quite different this week after the recent storms. Quite a few trees had blown down and the rain had exposed some of the tree roots – which means that it wasn’t safe for us to use our beloved mud slide! There were a few areas that weren’t safe for us to play, so we had a slightly different day. Our new forest school leader – Bea – reminded us of the rules and set us off playing some games, which was lots of fun! Then, we went off bug hunting, diamond digging, mud cooking and ‘fire’ building. we also played on a balance beam made out of a fallen tree trunk and we discovered our new ‘lounge’ area with log seating and a wood woven wall.
There was lots to do at forest school this week and the time flew by – we even found a centipede and a ladybird which was awesome! It was a very chilly time at Wycoller though, so it was nice to return to our cosy bus at the end of the day. More adventures await next week!
